French Open 

What makes The French Open different from others is that it is played on clay courts. It is also one of the most challenging tournaments because tennis balls move slower on clay surfaces.

Officially known as Roland-Garros, it is held in late May each year and lasts for two weeks. The French open is also regarded as the most demanding tournament in the world. Since it was founded in 1891, it became the home to hundreds of memorable tennis moments. Even though it began as a tournament that was only open to French tennis players in 1891, it was then opened internationally in 1925.
